Social in 60: Avoiding Copyright Issues With Online Images

In todays #SocialIn60 (which is one of few under 60 seconds) we discuss tips on avoiding copyright issues with online images.

The easiest way to avoid issues is to use a stock photo site that, with payment, allows you to search and use copyrighted images. Paid services include Shutterstock, iStockphoto or Getty Images. Free services include Creative Commons or Compfight. Another option of course, is to always create your own photo.

Once you have your image be sure to give photo credit. It gives your blog or piece of content a sense of professionalism. Lastly, when inserting your photo into your content you’ll want to focus on the quality, size and placement of the image.
