Advanced Blogging: 7 Ninja Tactics You May be Missing

Leslie Samuel: Leslie is the owner of Become A Blogger and the host of the Learning With Leslie podcast, where he helps people create their own blogging experience by taking advantage of technology. He is also the founder of Interactive Biology, a website that serves approximately 60,000 per month in 185 different countries and is dedicated to making biology fun for students and teachers.

During this session Leslie presented 7 great tactics for blogging:

 1. Strategic Content Creation: smart business owners don’t make money by mistake.

4 questions to answer

  • How much profit do you currently make with your blog?
  • How much to do you want to make on your blog?
  • How much to do you want make on each item?
  • What kind of content is necessary to get you there?

You need to create a goal (financially) and that’s how you will go about creating content.

What do I need to do to get from where I am to where I want to be? There are several different options including: hosting, a beginner’s guide, email marketing, and more.

2. Milk you content for all it’s worth

Content is king – it directly drives the business. Take your time and create meaningful content that is easy to repurpose. Remember: do not post your content and leave it.

How can you repurpose it?

  • Written article
  • Checklist
  • Podcast
  • Infographics
  • Social media updates
  • Videos
  • Slidedeck
  • & MORE!

Tip: Start small, what is one thing that you can do?

3. Strike while the iron is hot

When you create the content, draft other ideas while it is fresh in your mind. Construct other social media posts and have an entire campaign ready!

4. Opt in along the journey

Email marketing is very important and your list can be the most valuable asset. Once you get contacts on your list you can begin to target certain peoples, industries, etc.

5. Set up your link dashboard

This is where you track, analyze, and change content based on how its performing. The dashboard gives you information: affiliate marketing, new products, offer a service, etc.

 6. Start a 1,000 day journey

What is the one thing you can do everyday that can become easier and better?  Start with writing for 30 minutes, you will create new ideas, fresh content, and begin to write better. Eventually, the content will add up! You can even log your goals with the CoachMe App.

7. Create a resource center

Have a section on your blog that serves as training center where visitors can come to get information. Videos, tutorials and comparison charts work well.

3 goals for a successful blog:

  1. Provide more value to audience
  2. Be more productive
  3. Make more money
