Warm welcome to Nic Sharpley our new Associate Editor for Windpower Engineering & Development. Prior to joining WPED, Nic spent almost four years in a newsroom reporting on policy and innovative technology.  A U.S. Air Force veteran, she specialized in munitions working on 500-lb bombs, missiles, chaff, and flare. Nic also spent some time in Guam and Afghanistan. Travelling is her passion and she is open to any travel suggestions.  Nic is obsessed with Groupon and always looking for a great deal.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Nic is passionate about her city and loves the diversity. Nic received a BA in Journalism and Promotional Communications from Cleveland State University and is working on her MBA in Marketing at Tiffin University.
